A Photo Album Of Friends

Recently Chris got a digital camera (Casio LCD Digital Camera QV-10A) and we thought it would be fun to take this space and show you some of our friends. Isn't technology wonderful?
Click on the pictures to see them a bit larger...

A picture of Alvin and Chris

This is us this fall, in the wilds of Highland Park, Illinois. Ah, the magic of digital photography. You see, Chris took the picture of Alvin, and Alvin the picture of Chris - in two different places!

A picture of Tom

This is Tom, one of Alvin's private students. He's one of the busiest people we know; it's a wonder he has time to take guitar lessons. And he devotes himself to everything he does; we can see that in the progress he's made with his instrument.

A picture of Ray

This is Ray, a student of Alvin's and Chris'. Ray came to us, "fully formed", so to speak; he'd already been playing guitar for years, in fact, longer than Alvin. But his life didn't offer enough opportunities to play with others often enough. So he started taking classes and private lessons, and in the process of satisifying his appetite for music, he's become a good friend.

That's Tom behind Ray.

A picture of us with
Ted and Mary

This is Ted and Mary (with us) after a performance we all did in Douseman, Wisconsin, not far from where they live. Besides being former students (from the days when they lived in LaGrange, Illinois), and really good friends, Ted and Mary are, in a sense, our offspring; they've been teaching guitar too. So now we have grandstudents through them!

A picture of Karen and
Chuck

This is Karen and Chuck, whom we met on Monhegan Island, Maine, where they were vactioning as part of their twentieth wedding anniversary celebration, and where this picture was taken. They live in Buffalo, New York. We met through Alvin offering to take their picture with their camera, and that started a three day conversation.
