Adult
Living Skills Program
Teaches adults who are developmentally disabled and visually
impaired basic living skills including personal care, orientation
and mobility, functional academics, music, arts and crafts and
community awareness. The goal is to maximize an individual's
personal independence and to prevent unnecessary institutionalization.

Deaf-Blind
Program
Integrates students who are both visually and hearing impaired
into general programs at The Lighthouse, while providing specialized
support services, particularly communication skills training,
geared to dual disabilities.

Work
Activities Center
Allows adults who are visually impaired and multi-disabled to
participate in paid production activities of Chicago Lighthouse
Industries by designing work settings to meet their skill and
production levels. Individuals also participate in therapeutic
and social activities that contribute to personal development
and independence.

Orientation
and Mobility Program
Assists people who are blind or visually impaired in improving
independent travel skills related to personal and vocational
needs.
